Today we woke up bright and early to travel once again to Albi for French class. One of the French teachers made us crêpes and they were delicious! After a 3 hour long French class, we had lunch in the cafeteria at the university. We then walked about 25 minutes to the Laperouse Museum in Albi. Before entering the museum, we had time to get some snapshots of the city of Albi. A group of us took a picture with a Terrible Towel! Who says there can't be Steelers fans in France? Anyhow, this picture is being sent in to KDKA News for the Terrible Towel feature they are doing, so watch for it to show up on the news!
After the museum we had a lot of free time. John, Katie, Morgan, Francie, Rachel, Jen, and I first went and got dessert. I had this 3-berry sorbet with fresh berries and whipped cream and it was so delicious! Then, Katie, Rachel, Francie, and I did a little shopping! I bought a shirt and a skirt, my first clothing purchase in France! After shopping, we went into an Irish pub and had a quick drink before we caught our bus back to Ambialet.
Once back to our "castle" in Ambialet, our group of spring breakers (Katie, Morgan, Brady, Jen, and I), and John, who helped us plan everything, figured out what exactly we were going to do over our long spring break from March 15th to March 28th. We are starting out our break flying from Paris to Athens. We will be exploring Greece for 6 days, then flying to Rome, Italy, and we will spend the remainder of our break exploring Italy. I am really excited, especially now that plans are finally coming together! Thanks for helping us John!!!
After a busy week, I must spend the weekend preparing for my first anatomy exam, which in next Friday. We also have our first French quiz next week too. We have all weekend off, with nothing planned, so I will use that time to catch up on studying. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
