Today was a very fun day! This morning I attended mass at the church here at the monastery. Everything was in French so I was so totally lost, but it was exciting to see the church and the people who attend. 

Breakfast was interesting this morning to say the least. Before I tell this story, keep in mind that yesterday, Jerry told us that we would probably be having duck for dinner tonight or some time this week. Well, at breakfast this morning, the girls kept hearing a "quack" coming from either the kitchen for somewhere close by. NOT cool. At least we know our food comes fresh.I have never had duck before so I'm a little nervous to try it, although I hear it is not too bad. 

After lunch we went to explore the village of Ambialet. (Let's just say the heartbreak hill is a killer...almost literally for Katie Chelko hahaha) It is so pretty and I took a lot of pictures! I had my first glass of French wine in the Nadine's cafe/pub. Ordering in French was a bit of a challenge for me as I have not even mastered the basics of the French language yet. Everyone thinks it is rather hilarious watching me attempt to speak French. 

Classes start tomorrow afternoon, so my Christmas break officially ends tonight. Luckily, for our last night without class work, we get to watch the Steelers in the AFC championship game. The game does not start until 12:30 AM our time so it is going to be a late night! It will be well worth it when the Steelers WIN! I will miss watching the game at home with my screaming dad and brother haha!
